Mututho to Stop TPF6, Says it Contradicts the Law

At last, John Mututho has been gazetted by the president as the NACADA chairman and he is bound to take the job a little more seriously after a swing with parliament and a celebration from the public after he was shoved up and down on the post. Mututho now promises to do his job to the book.
In the step to do this, Mututho’s first target is Tusker Project Fame Season 6 which is currently underway and airs on Citizen TV. TPF6 which is a EABL brand and which the country’s second largest tax payer uses to advertise it’s Tusker brand is a target for Mututho who says it contradicts the Alcoholic act of 2010 which states “No person shall promote an alcoholic drink or an alcohol-related brand element except in accordance with the provisions of this Act” prohibiting direct advertising of any alcoholic drinks.
Tusker Project Fame is indeed using the platform to advertise their brand and the entire programme including the name is fully branded. However, it will be a hard battle to fight for Mututho and he might create more problems than solutions for him but I guess he is determined to do it. Let us watch the space, Mututho is now the man with the big office.
